Capability Sprint
A Capability Sprint is the build phase in which Radical delivers the first working AI use case together with your own people. The point is not only the working application but the transfer: your team can run and change it afterwards without the external party.
Why building together rather than delivering
A supplier who builds it for you produces something that works and knowledge that leaves. A sprint that builds it with you produces something that works and knowledge that stays. The second is slower in week one and considerably cheaper in year two.
This is the practical expression of AI Capability: the ability to keep going without help.
Where it sits
Third in the sequence. The free AI Photo qualifies the starting point, the AI Readiness Scan produces the ranked opportunities and the roadmap, and the Capability Sprint builds the first item on that roadmap. Starting with the sprint is possible but you are then building on an assumption instead of a diagnosis.
What is delivered
- One working use case in production, not a demo
- Your own people involved in the build, not observing it
- The working method written down, so it survives someone leaving
- A semantic layer on top of your existing data where needed, without touching the core systems
Human on the loop
The systems stay yours and the control stays with you. A person remains in a position to overrule the system, which is what keeps operational risk manageable and what makes the result defensible to a board and an auditor.
How you know it worked
Not at go-live. The test is the first change your own team makes to the system without calling anyone.
